What are Veneers? |
In the Hamilton area and in need of veneers?
Dental Veneers are wafer-thin shells of porcelain that are bonded to the facings of the teeth; they are very similar to fake nails. Veneers are used to improve aesthetics – particularly when it comes to smiles. Porcelain veneers are used for three main reasons: to close the gap between teeth, to whiten discoloured teeth, and to fix misalignments.
There is a minimal reduction of the tooth, generally 0.5mm. The strength of the bonding comes from the porcelain sticking to the enamel of the tooth rather than the dentin. Veneers are very durable, very strong, extremely natural looking, and stain resistant. They are also very technique sensitive, and if done properly, they will last you many years to come.
Dr. Bhandari is a very experienced dentist in Hamilton and welcomes new patients. If you are in the Hamilton area and are interested in veneers, please give the office a call at 905 525-0405.
